...Took A Long Time To Come

Last summer I had the idea for a zine where thirty people each contributed journal entries, one person for each day of the month of June. It was kind of like a glimpse into a month of our lives. A document of our summer, showing that we really weren't so far a part. The goal of the project was that hopefully it would read as if one person wrote it, that these things we think are so specific to our lives are really universal.

In a brief moment of ambitious optimism, I thought I could continue the project for a whole year. I'm not writing this off completely just yet. For now, however, its on hold as I didn't feel like I could keep it going with out more help/interest. And also that I hadn't gotten things together fast enough to start on January first which would have been ideal, but not mandatory.

What came in the wake of this realization was this blog. This Will Be Our Year will be entries on each month by different people. I hope to focus more on perspectives on a particular thirty days and insight into the way time passes for each contributor than the day to day that underlined my 30 Days Project.
